Who we are
The Association of Wood-based Panels Producers in Poland has been representing the interests of Polish wood-based panels plants and communities cooperating with the industry since 1992. It currently brings together producers of: fiberboards produced by wet and dry methods, particle boards, plywood, veneers and other board products, as well as scientific circles related to the board and wood-based materials industry and companies working for this industry. We are a member and cooperate with numerous national and European organizations, including CEI-Bois, EPF, FSC, Polish Technology Platform for Forestry and Wood Sector, Polish Chamber of Commerce of the Wood Industry, Wooden House Association.
What are our goals?
The aim of the association is to initiate and actively support activities contributing to the development of the Polish record industry. By implementing its statutory goals, it aims at active and effective promotion of member enterprises.
TASKS of the association include:
- work on achieving the European standard of products,
- establishing and developing cooperation with international industry organizations and associations from other countries,
- tracking development trends in terms of enriching the export offer of products, especially more processed products,
- increasing and expanding technical and economic information activities for members of the association,
- representing the professional interests of the members of the association to the authorities and other institutions.
How are we doing?
WE CONDUCT INTENSIVE ACTIVITIES
aimed at improving the situation on the wood raw material market, through negotiations with the General Directorate of State Forests, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of the Environment, in order to improve the raw material supply of plants operating in the industry.
WE ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE
in consultations on legal acts, which has a real impact on improving the conditions for the functioning of the sector.
We regularly take part in the DREMA International Trade Fair of Machines and Tools for the Wood Industry and the FURNICA furniture industry fair as well as the BUDMA construction industry fair. At our stands, we present the entire range of the Association's services and the commercial offer of the associated plants.
WE PARTICIPATE
in the standardization activities of the Technical Committees of the Polish Committee for Standardization: No. 100 for Wood Products and Wood-based Materials, No. 215 for Design and Construction of Structures of Wood and Wood-Based Materials and No. 308 for Assessment of the Release of Hazardous Substances from Construction Products, thanks to which we have a real impact on shaping standardization documents and issuing opinions on draft executive acts related to standardization.
The activity of the association also includes the DEVELOPMENT OF DEVELOPMENT WORKS AND SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL OPINIONS.
WE ORGANIZE SEMINARS AND TRAININGS to raise qualifications for employees of member companies.
